India Remains Fastest Growing Major Economy, GDP Grows 7.8% in April-June Quarter
India recorded GDP growth of 7.8% during the April-June period of 2023-24, the highest in the past four quarters, allowing the country to remain the fastest growing major economy.
The growth has been achieved on the back of double-digit growth in the services sector, retaining its position as the world’s fastest- growing major economy.
India’s growth for the quarter is higher than the 6.3% recorded by China during the same period.
